Biography
Annie was born on December 13th 1876 in Swords Co. Dublin to parents Peter Green & Mary Judd and baptised on December 15th in Swords.
Annie married Michael Hughes on November 18th 1900 in Swords.
In the 1901 census they are living at number 6 John’s Lane in Swords, Co Dublin. John’s lane no longer exists but it is referenced here on swordsdublin.net. At this time they had no children and Annie’s occupation is not listed, both could read and write.
According to the 1911 census they had moved to number 2 Cloghran, Kinsaley (Kinsealy) and they now have 5 children, in all they had 8 children (listed on the left), with the Christopher being my grandfather.
My dad informs me they lived in Seatown, Swords later in life and that his immediate family lived with them for about ten years when he was growing up. The house in Seatown was demolished to make way for the M1 bridge which spans the broad meadow’s estuary today.
Annie died July 18th 1955. Michael & Annie are buried in St Colmcilles Graveyard, Church Lane, Swords, Co Dublin
