Biography

Eliza Gray was born June 6th 1854 to parents William Gray & Anne Ogle.

She married Patrick Kelly on June 12th 1872 in Dundalk. Together they had seven children, five survived to adulthood.

In the 1901 census they are living at house 11 Shiel's Court in Dundalk with five of their children, four of eldest daughter Mary Jane's children are also present. Patrick's occupation is listed as labourer.

In the 1911 census Patrick and Eliza, along with sons Peter & James are living at house 4 in Park's Court, Dundalk.

Eliza died October 14th 1914 and is buried in Castletown cemetery on the outskirts of the town on the Castleblaney road, on the wall outside is a map of the cemetery with the plot locations, the Kelly family plot is located next to the Callaghan plot.
