In the 1901 census they are living at number 6 John’s Lane in Swords, Co Dublin. John’s lane no longer exists but it is referenced here on swordsdublin.net. At this time they had no children and Michael’s occupation is listed as an agricultural labourer, both could read and write.
According to the 1911 census they had moved to number 2 Cloghran, Kinsaley (Kinsealy). Where Michael is listed as a labourer and they now have 5 children, in all they had 8 children (listed on the left), with Christopher being my grandfather.
My dad informs me they lived in Seatown, Swords later in life and that his immediate family lived with them for about ten years when he was growing up. The house in Seatown was demolished to make way for the M1 bridge which spans the broad meadow’s estuary today.
